Official Festo type reference: QS-4 (Festo standard-series push-in connector; Part No. 153031)
The Festo Instant Equal Coupler QS-4 is a compact straight push-in connector designed to join two pneumatic tubes of the same 4 mm outside diameter. Its push-in connection principle allows quick tube installation and removal while maintaining a compact connection footprint. The QS series is intended for pneumatic connection technology and is suitable for compressed-air applications; Festo also documents vacuum and water capability for the QS family, with medium and temperature limits applying by configuration.

Key features and benefits
· Equal-size connection for 4 mm pneumatic tubing.
· Push-in connection reduces assembly time compared with conventional threaded tube connections.
· Compact standard-series design for pneumatic control and air-distribution assemblies.
· Blue release ring supports intuitive tube release and servicing.
· Suitable for tight installation areas where a short straight connector is preferred.
Typical applications
· Pneumatic control panels and manifolds
· Compact automation machinery
· Air preparation and distribution circuits
· Actuator and valve tubing connections
· General industrial compressed-air installations
Installation and handling
· Use clean, correctly sized pneumatic tubing with a square, burr-free cut.
· Push the tube fully into the fitting until it reaches the internal stop, then perform a gentle pull check.
· For removal, depress the blue release ring and withdraw the tube carefully.
· Use the specified thread/sealing arrangement and tighten to the applicable Festo nominal torque; do not overtighten.
· Confirm compatibility of the fitting, tubing, pressure, temperature and working medium before commissioning.
